I am a Uruguayan visual artist. I work across different techniques and surfaces, in series of abstract paintings that explore the tension between structure and impulse. My work is available for collectors and spaces in Uruguay and the region.
I am a visual artist and designer based in Montevideo, Uruguay. With a degree in Fashion Design, my work lives at the intersection of color, structure, and emotion.
Drawn to abstraction from an early age, I began my formal artistic training in 1997 and have dedicated my career to exploring the expressive potential of form and color. My paintings are built through a process of layering and intuition, using geometric shapes that fragment, collide, and dissolve to create compositions that feel both energetic and meditative.
In my current body of work, I explore the tension between order and chaos. I use bold palettes and structured brushwork to evoke sensation rather than literal representation. Each canvas is painted edge to edge, designed specifically to be displayed unframed in order to preserve the integrity of the piece.
Guided by constant curiosity and research, I am always exploring new techniques and visual languages. Recently, my practice has expanded into the digital realm, where I work as a 2D artist for an independent video game development team — translating the same sense of color and composition from my canvases into interactive worlds.
Alongside my studio practice, I share my passion for design as a university lecturer, teaching Accessory Design and Textile Technology within the Fashion Design program.
