Waves II
Water doesn't just move forward — it also rises. This painting moves upward: cerulean pushing against the top edge of the canvas, held just before the point of release. It is a painting about the moment of maximum potential, not resolution.
Built with a wide brush working upward — each stroke following the logic of the composition, layer over layer. The aqua was laid down first; the white was dragged over it last, pulling light upward against the blue.
