Urban Pulse

There is something city-like in this painting — the density, the silhouettes, the way blocks of dark teal stack and float against a washed sky. It is not a cityscape. But it carries that same compressed energy of a place full of movement that has, for a moment, gone still.

Each block was built with a palette knife — acrylic loaded and pushed across the surface, leaving raised edges that catch the light differently depending on where you stand. The turquoise ground was brushed freely underneath, then the forms were placed on top, one by one, by hand. The texture you see is structural, not decorative.
