Azure Labyrinth
What holds the eye first is the gold. Fine lines of ochre trace the edges of white shapes across a field of turquoise — like a map drawn over water, or ice seen from above. The longer you look, the more the forms multiply: archipelagos, coral, the plan of a city that never existed.
The turquoise ground was built first through small, square brushstrokes that create texture and depth. The white shapes emerged from this field, then the golden lines were drawn last — each one by hand, with a fine brush, tracing the boundary between blue and white.
